Originally trained as a scientist, I hold a Biochemistry Degree and a PhD in Biotechnology.
I spent over five years living in the United Kingdom, most of which while working as a postdoctoral researcher in Molecular Virology at the University of Oxford.
Upon return to my home country, I retrained as a specialised translator and obtained a Master’s Degree in Medical and Healthcare Translation.
I currently work as a freelance translator. Capitalising on all my previous scientific training allows me to bring subject-matter expertise to my current work and thus provide high-quality scientific translations in biomedicine and other health-related areas.
A sample of my work can be found in my MA dissertation, available here.
I am a Junior Associate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and a full member of Tremédica (International Association of Translators and Writers in Medicine and Life Sciences).
